The first of the bands will be arriving here today for the Bluegrass festival. It's good news that both evening headline concerts are sold out already. In fact the latest news is that all the concerts are now sold out Lots of different workshops taking place on Saturday and I for one am going to the harmony singing. There are also lots of opportunities to take in some music in the pub sessions for those that have not arranged tickets. The swallows are getting scarcer now and the starlings are collecting in good number. They have already stripped the top of our rowan of its fine berry crop. Yes, autumn is now taking hold.

New Beginnings
Time for a wee change of direction . After quite an enjoyable while snarled up on facebook I have decided to give that a real break. It has been at the back of my mind to start a blog for some time. The Moniaive Bluegrass Festival is fast approaching and the main concerts are sold out. The swallows are still around but the pink footed geese have also been heard and seen. The change of season seems like the right time for a change on the computer activity front for me as well. Lots of things have been happening this week. We visited the Watson Bird Festival in Dalry on Saturday then went on to visit Day of the Region in New Galloway. Been laid up since the weekend with a dodgy and painful knee. Please excuse this first post as its all a bit new to me and a bit of an experiment. Trying to upload some photies without much success.
